If you have ripped through the code or found the QR code is unreadable after opening your packet, you can still claim your Pampers Club Points. By reconstructing the torn PIN and using the "Enter Code Manually" feature in the Pampers Club app, you can ensure your points are credited to your Pampers account.
Note: This guide is specifically for ripped, stretched, or distorted codes caused during opening. It does not cover missing codes or expired Pampers promo codes.
Step 1 - Locate the Alphanumeric Code
- If you or a family member ripped the packet open the wrong way, flatten the plastic packaging on a light-coloured surface.
- Carefully align the torn through code to reveal the 9–15 character PIN code.
- If the code was damaged during opening or appears illegible due to the plastic being pulled, check the edges of the tear for any partial digits.
- If the plastic has stretched or distorted the letters, try to look at them from different angles to identify missing digits.
Step 2 - Use Manual Entry in the Pampers Club App
- Open your Pampers Club app and tap the "Scan" button.
- Select the option to "Enter Code Manually."
- Type in the alphanumeric sequence exactly as it appears.
Experience Tip: Many parents find that even if they've ruined the QR code, the alphanumeric PIN next to it is often still salvageable.

Step 3 - Check "Look-Alike" Characters
- If you are missing digits or a letter is illegible, try common "look-alike" substitutions (e.g., swapping '0' for 'O' or '1' for 'I').
- Try these variations before giving up on your points:
- O (Letter) and 0 (Number): This is the most common error. If your code isn't working, try swapping the letter 'O' for a zero.
- I (Capital I), l (Lowercase L), and 1 (Number): These vertical lines are easily confused. Most Pampers promo codes use uppercase letters, so it is often a capital 'I' or the number '1'.
- S (Letter) and 5 (Number): The curves of the 'S' can look like the sharp angles of a '5' on a torn surface.
- B (Letter) and 8 (Number): If the middle of the 'B' is slightly obscured, it can easily be read as an '8'.
- U (Letter) and V (Letter): Depending on the font, a 'U' can sometimes appear as a 'V' if the bottom curve is sharp.
How can I prevent tearing the code in the future?
Taking extra care when opening your Pampers packs is the best way to ensure your Pampers Club Points are easy to claim. Most Pampers diaper packs are designed with perforated lines—usually at the top or along the side seams. Using these ensures you don't accidentally tear the code printed on the inner liner.
Tip: We hear from many parents that "fraught moments" or "middle-of-the-night changes" lead to ripped packets. The pack includes perforations for a clean opening that avoids damaging the diapers inside and, importantly for the Pampers Loyalty Program, avoids tearing the codes printed on the inner liner.
